The last two days I have been attending an event hosted by Nick Unsworth called Life on Fire. This 3-day event has surpassed all my expectations so far. How would I describe it? I would say that it is a Tony Robbins (like event) meet passion driven tribe, with purposeful and subject matter speakers, committed event leaders and staff that have a heart for people and changing the culture and world around them. No fluff, no gimmicks, no smoke and mirrors…simple and practical “how to” presented with a heart!
The event website said that this event was “a MUST attend if you’re… An entrepreneur, expert, consultant, coach, online marketer, podcaster, service professional, and anyone who has a burning desire to do what you love and relentlessly pursue your dreams.”
They made it clear that the event was not for “those who want to whine, make excuses, pass blame on others, live well below their potential, complain, never take any action, or act like they are not completely in control of their success, lifestyle, and income.”
The crowd was super diverse in age, background, interest and beliefs, so loved the fact that we were not in a bubble. I soaked a lot more than I anticipated and was able to filter my thoughts with a more positive and engaging mainframe.
Here are my top 3 takeaways:
- One of the biggest take away was that the fastest way to get anything you want in life is to first believe that it’s possible. This is not a new concept for me but the way it was present and the people brought to share their experiences and progress showed me the power of this simple yet profound concept.
- Having a vision and making a declaration has power. Declaring your intentions makes it visible for others to hold you accountable and it will drive your actions and productivity.
- You don’t need to know the “how.” This was the hardest for me to grasp being an analytical person. Although I still cannot see the how, I’m starting to see a vision for what I want my life to be and look like and I can trust in the process to get to the how.
What’s holding you back? Are you willing to wake up 5 or 10 years from now and have the same life you have today? If you don’t, time to shift your mindset. Learn what’s available, get a coach and join a tribe of like-minded individuals to help you succeed.
